Altenew April 2022 Gardens Around the World Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

I am still recovering from hand surgery, so some of my notes are short. Please excuse me for the brevity.

What an exciting blog! This is my first big product release blog. I created several cards for this release and here they are!


Meadow Reflections

To make this card:

  • Die cut from the Mix and Match Frames die set
  • Mask off area to be colored
  • Color area with Mint Chocolate and Blueberry Crisp Dye inks
  • Stamp butterflies with embossing ink and Altenew’s white embossing powder
  • Die cut butterflies from vellum & attach over heat embossed butterflies
  • Add card base

Castle Garden

To make this card:

  1. Mask off the center area
  2. Lightly color the area
  3. Stamp flowers overlapping left edge
  4. Color flowers
  5. Add sentiment
  6. Add to card base

Midsummer Bouquet

To make this card:

  1. White heat emboss the image on white card stock
  2. Color flowers using Altenew’s Watercolor Brush Markers
  3. Color background with a Watercolor Brush Marker
  4. Trim right edge around flowers
  5. Add Altenew’s Gilded Brushed Gold Glitter card stock
  6. Add to black card base
  7. Stamp sentiment on vellum & add to card

Victorian Greenhouse

To make this card:

  1. Emboss card stock with Waffled Diamonds 3D embossing folder
  2. Sponge background with blue ink (sorry I can’t remember what color I used)
  3. swipe embossing ink over embossed piece add gold embossing powder (you can brush off any powder you don’t want)
  4. Heat set embossing powder
  5. Stamp and fussy cut the greenhouse
  6. Color the greenhouse
  7. Add to card base using Altenew’s Instant Dimension Foam Tape
  8. Add sentiment
  9. Die cut leaves using the Dainty Leaves die set
  10. Add to card base

Leaf Canopy Add-On

To make this card:

  1. Stamp the leaf branch in Fresh Leaf
  2. Clear emboss the leaves using Altenew’s Clear Embossing Powder
  3. Stamp the round vase from the Mod Vases stamp set over the leaves
  4. Clear emboss the round vase (if you clear emboss the image multiple times, it will give the vase a glazed pottery look)
  5. Stamp a mask for the vase & put the mask over the vase
  6. Stamp the tall vase slightly higher than the round vase (this will help it appear behind the round vase)
  7. clear emboss the tall vase
  8. Add leaves to the vases using the Warm Wishes stamp set
  9. Gold emboss the small leaves using Altenew’s Antique Gold embossing powder
  10. Create a base to ground the vases by coloring the bottom of the paper in a darker shade of blue
  11. Add the sentiment
  12. Add the card front to a black card bae

  2. You made such stunning cards! And so many of them! I love the large green house card-it is such a fabulous card, from the bright inside coloring of the house to the beautiful background with the die cut leaves on top and bottom.
